There is a Priestess by the name of Kivena at the Inn going from table to table looking for help. Says a few days ago some friends of hers went to look for a holy relic near a ruin and have not returned. This is odd as most people go there and then return shortly after. The party agrees to help, before leaving Yivena hands the statue head of the mayor to the priestess and blames Squeaks on stealing it and Zofi sells the elven tabard for 15gp to an elven in the Inn who has an interest in history.

The Priestess describes how to get to this spooky arch in the woods, it is called the lifeless clearing and the party sets out.

They make their way to the arch, an Elven wizard named Aryn tags along as they had nothing better to do. From what they have been told it is just a stone archway; on arrival they keep seeing flickers of images in the archway. There appear to be shadows wrapping around the arch, they keep trying to reach out and then are sucked back in. Aryn just walks through the arch; she feels a sense of loss as she walks through. The Other side is very dark, like it is sunset. As she turns around the portal behind her is completely black. Scorch fiddles with the rat ring and is tossed through the arch by Zofi, the rest of the party follows. They find shadowed reflections of a withered road that branches out the East and West. There are crumbling stone buildings on each side of the road. Zofi says head West although there are no indications on the ground which way they should go. Scorch shouts for Ralina, there is an odd wind noise that swallows up his voice. The group heads west, the road extends on and on. After around 15 min they see an alabaster citadel in the distance. As they are walking someone taps Olander on the should who is last in line as they proceed down the road. They keep walking and Zofi has the feeling that someone is trying to grab her coin purse, she hears a giggle but no one else does. They start to move forward and Aryn falls, tripping as her boot laces have been tied together. The party hustles down the road a little further and come to a fork in the road, to the left is the citadel and to the right is a road. The group decides to head towards the citadel. Ahead of them is a large gate, Yivena checks for traps around the gate. The courtyard appears abandoned, shadows flicker everywhere, there is a fountain where the water appears more as a shadow then water. On the western side of the courtyard lies a body next to the fountain. The body appears to be relatively fresh, that this person has not been dead very long. In the distance we see four people walking down a wooded lane. The party hides behind a wall and Aryn yells out “Ralina’s” name. Ralina hears a voice calling her name behind them, it is barely audible over the wind. As the parties come together there is a wailing from the forest, Aryn and Zofi think there is someone in the forest who needs their help.

Zofi thinks the voice sounds like the voice of her sister, and she goes charging into the forest with Aryn in tow. Half the now one party made from two parties takes off into the forest, the remaining follow reluctantly. As they enter the voices drift away and the shadows start to form a wall around the clearing.
